Black Blue is a dark granite with large crystals that flash steel-blue as light moves across the slab. Polished, it reads near-black from across the room and shimmers up close, which makes it a favourite for statement kitchen counters, bar tops and feature walls.

The base is a deep charcoal-black, broken up by coin-sized feldspar crystals that catch the light in blue and silver. The crystal pattern is busy rather than uniform, so no two slabs look quite the same. If you are matching several slabs for one kitchen or a long run of flooring, it is worth choosing them together in person.
Like most dark granites it is dense and shrugs off heat, stains and everyday knocks. Wipe spills with a damp cloth and mild soap, and skip acid-based cleaners that can dull the polish over the years. Dark granite rarely needs resealing; a water-drop test once a year tells you.

Yes. It is hard and heat-resistant, and its busy crystal pattern hides crumbs and water spots far better than a plain black. Ask for a mirror-polished or leather finish.
Less so. The flash is strongest on a mirror polish; a leather finish softens it to a subtle glint.
